Pickup up from Ooty Railway Station. Straight Drive to Thusharagiri. Thusharagiri –Caressed in the folds of the Western Ghats is the picturesque Thusharagiri Waterfalls. Lying 50 km from Kozhikode, the Thusharagiri Waterfalls comprises Erattumukku, MazhavilChattom, and Thumbithullum Para which can be reached through trekking. Thusharagiri or mist-capped peaks; gets its name from the beautiful silvery crown formed at the mountain top due to the waterfalls. The nature here will transport to a different dimension where time itself comes to a standstill. Having a dip in the cool water here is highly recommended as well, to revive one’s body and mind. The atmosphere on the way to waterfalls is filled with the aroma of various plantations that are on every traveller’s wish list like arecanut, pepper, ginger and spices. Mist-capped peaks, ebullient streams, boisterous waterfalls, dramatic backdrops of lush woods and plantations makes it is a wonderful destination to enjoy nature at its finest. Later proceed to Aripara Waterfalls. Aripara Falls is located in Thiruvambadi panchayat in Kozhikode district, Kerala. The waterfall is a tributary of Iruvanjippuzha river. The waterfall have huge rocks and it seem that water is coming from the rocks that is why it is called as Aripara Falls. The water is cool and refreshing and there are huge elephantine rocks in the river and waterfall which makes it ideal place for adventure lovers. It is located on the Thiruvambadi – Anakkampoyil route, 15 km from Thiruvambadi. and 45 km from Calicut. The waterfall is not much explored by tourist and is not that developed , its natural beauty is maintained . Its a great picnic spot for nearby peoples. Many tourists and adventure seeker come to this place for thrilling experience in the woods.
Later straight drive to Wayanad for the Overnight Stay.
After breakfast check out from the Hotel. Later Proceed Wayanad sightseeing visit included Edakkal caves- An interesting trek up the Ambukuthi Hill near Ambalavayal town takes you to the fascinating neolithic cave site of Edakkal. Etchings found on the walls of these caves have drawn the serious attention of archaeologists and historians worldwide.. After Edakkal proceed to Heritage museum situated in Ambalavayal. There you can explore the entire Wayanad history. Later visit Muthanga. Established in 1973, the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary is contiguous to the protected area network of Nagarhole and Bandipur of Karnataka on the north east and Mudumalai of Tamil Nadu on the southeast. Rich in bio-diversity, the sanctuary is an integral part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. The management lays emphasis on scientific conservation with due consideration for the general lifestyle of the tribals and others who live in and around the forest region. The Sanctuary has a large population of pachyderms and has been declared a
Project Elephant site.Elephants roam freely here and tigers are sighted occasionally as well. Various species of deer,monkeys and birds also live here. The Reserve is also home to a profusion of birds, butterflies and insects. The trees and plants in the sanctuary are typical of the south Indian moist deciduous forests and semi-evergreen forests. A drive along the road to Muthanga and further, offers chances to watch these roaming animals. Elephant rides can be arranged by the Forest Department. The trip is over. It’s time to return back…to your Home with sweet memories of Kerala. Drop at Ooty on or before 10PM.
